After visiting Santa Fe for decades, we finally made the move in 2015 to enjoy its high desert landscapes, vivid skies, massive arts and music scenes and unique culture.

"Where are the gay bars?"  Our answer was always that there really aren't any specific gay bars as basically every bar in Santa Fe is gay.  With liberal attitudes that rival  San Francisco, Austin and Seattle, tolerance and acceptance are low bar for Santa Fe as an expectation of embracing everyone's unique differences is the standard for strengthening the community and its cultural core.

Santa Fe Notes:
  • ​​At 7,199 feet above sea level, the skies and light are extremely vivid and its high desert landscapes are enhanced
  • Highest state capital in the US
  • Surrounded by forested, rugged mountains with peaks reaching 13,000 feet
  • 200+ local restaurants with every imaginable cuisine
  • New Mexican cuisine rules the roost with a foundation of red and green chile as the prevailing flavors
  • 250+ art galleries (second-largest art market after New York City)
  • Population:  85,000
  • All buildings must be in the Santa Fe architectural style and colors must be Earth tones to blend in with the natural surroundings
  • No structures can be taller than the bell towers of Saint Francis cathedral downtown as to not detract from the natural surroundings
